Robert Hermansen is the Managing DIrector of the Barents Institute. The Barents Institute is a research institute financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The research activity focuses om the Barents region, mainly on the border between Norway og North-west Russia. The reseach areas are both social and business related, as well as enviromental issues, quality of life, logistics and politics. Robert Hermansen has been the director of "Store Norske Spitzbergen Kullkompani" on Svalbard, and he holds several board-positions in Norwegian companies.

Lise Bergan

Lise Bergan 

Lise Bergan is Corporate Affairs Director in Cermaq, a Norwegian based aquaculture company. It is the world's second largest producer of salmon and salmon feed, with operations in Norway, Chile, Canada and Scotland. Ms. Bergan holds a Master in Agricultural Economics and has broad experience from the global food sector, including trade policy, sanitary issues, food safety as well as sustainability issues. She has previously been working in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Norwegian Foreign Service and in Kraft Foods Inc.

 

Gunnar Eskeland

Gunnar Eskeland 

 

Gunnar Eskeland holds a PhD in Economics, and has been working in developing countries in senior research positions at the World Bank. Fields of work include environmental protection, transport, air quality, energy economics, shipping markets, and climate policy. Recent work on climate change has included energy sector analysis, European policy review, research on technological change and an R&D treaty. Eskeland is heavily involved in the new Master's profile at NHH: Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment, with an international student body, and is directing the Energy and Climate research program.

 

 Joel Görsch

Joel Görsch holds an MSc in Environmental Science. Working for Business Region Gøteborg (BRG), he has since 2004 been part of developing Gothenburg's environmental network that encompasses companies, municipalities, academia and institutions. In 2008, he became responsible for the EU-financed project "Cleantech InWest" that aims to support foreign cleantech companies in their efforts to establish business in the Göteborg Region. Mr Görsch is also BRG's representative in the steering board of the Clean Shipping Project that has developed criteria for clean shipping and a database that contains data of clean ships.

 

Arne Skogheim

Arne    Skogheim

Arne Skogheim holds the position as Site Manager of AF Environmental Base Vats for AF Decom Offshore. He was one of the founders of the AF Group Norway which AF Decom Offshore is a part of. Skogheim has a long experience from decommissioning; - first the Shell Refinery at Sola, and then offshore (Ekofisk) between 2004 - 07. From 2007 he has been Site Manager at Vats.

 

 

Johannes Aalbu

Johannes Aalbu has an MSc in Cybernetics from NTNU and a Master in Technology Management from NTNU/NHH. Now he is Head of Technology Development in Hydro Primary Production division. After being Project Director in Qatar in the planning of one of the world's largest aluminum plant, he is now back in Hydro to develop the improved aluminium production technology for the future. During his 27 years in Hydro, he has been developing process control systems, technology components and management systems to improve the efficiency of Hydro's production units in Norway and abroad.

 Sustainability Now! Conference

Following up on the sucesses from 2007 and 2008, Emisoft will this year arrange the SustainabilityNow!-conference for the third time. Like the two preceding conferences, focus will also this year be on different aspects of sustainability ranging from a politician’s point of view, to that of a commercial company.
